League play is a great way to meet new players and enjoy some friendly competition. Pacific Beach Tennis Club has various teams that play in different leagues.

The Annual PB Open

Membersip

The current membership of PBTC consists of approximately 450 members. Club members pay either monthly or annually, both are pro-rated for the remainder of the month/year.

 

Located in beautiful Pacific Beach, San Diego,  the Pacific Beach Tennis Club offers many activities and services.
 

Membership Benefits include:

  • Free court use on 8 of the best-lighted courts in San Diego

  • World-class tennis professionals

  • Annual Club Turkey Tournament

  • Competitive league play – WTT, USTA, San Diego Fall/Winter Doubles League, and Flex Leagues, see leagues page for more info

  • A variety of club mixers at no cost

​The Club relies on membership dues to pay for court resurfacing, windscreens, nets, squeegees, utilities, trash removal, and our pro shop team.

​

Pickleball is currently not included in PBTC's memberships.

About PBTC

The Pacific Beach Tennis Club (PBTC) began in 1961 when a group headed by Dr. James Grant raised sufficient funds to construct six courts on land that the city of San Diego provided. Subsequently, a small clubhouse and two additional courts were added as well as the present lighting system.

Located in beautiful Pacific Beach, San Diego, the PBTC has 8 well-lit and well-maintained courts, a ball machine, competitive league play, world-class instructors, a variety of fun events, clinics, and mixers, and pickleball.
